Black Copper Marans Chick

This is the chocolate egger breed — the Black Copper Marans! For those of you who adore a colorful egg basket, this breed is a must-have!
Our BCM line is bred primarily for egg color, while also focusing on the breed standard. You can expect your Black Copper Marans to lay an egg anywhere from dark brown to reddish brown, with speckles present sometimes, about 5-7 on the Marans color chart. Some of our hens lay eggs with heavy bloom that makes them look purple!  Marans make wonderful pets, too - they are hardy, calm and a docile breed. We are poud members of the Marans Club.
